Welcome to The Polka Dot Rose, where everything vintage becomes new again. Nothing excites me more than the thrill of the hunt for treasures of the heart. Yard Sales, Estate Sales, Antique shops, Flea Markets are just a few of the places where these gems are found. I have been decorating my home romantic cottage chic for years. Who knew? I just wanted to surround myself with all the things I loved.
I grew up in a make believe world of pretend and have been trying to remain there ever since. As a young girl, my birthday parties consisted of having my friends and family come over and we would go through a huge chest full of my Mom’s party clothes. Crinolines; taffeta; silk; patent leather shoes, hand bags, big chunky jewelry; rhinestones and pearls. A little girl’s heaven on earth!
Creating a romantic home is easier than you think. Soft pallets, linens and lace, flowers, delicate china, etc. add the softness to decorate a romantic home.
